TPOR 3 Day Course Description
Course Information:
Officers often face situations requiring impromptu entries to rescue persons in need or handle confrontations with armed hostiles. This intensive 3-day course provides the knowledge, and skills needed for these critical tasks, focusing on:
- Exigent circumstance entries
- Tactical Incident Command
- Ambush Mitigation
- Threat Orientation and Management
Students will engage in:
- Case law review
- Reality-Based training drills and scenarios, and
- Facilitated discussions
All scenarios and drills are based on real experiences from high-risk and exigent circumstance incidents, including dealing with media, community, agency, and family scrutiny after Officer Involved Shootings.
Course Overview:
- Facilitated discussions on stress-inoculated training.
- Sustain or Improve concepts.
- Use of Less-than-Lethal Training Ammunition (LLTA) in reality-based scenarios.
- Tactical Movement drills (single officer, two officers, multiple officers).
- Cover vs. Concealment realities.
- Threat identification, assessing, and stacking.
- Identification of entry points, and threshold complexities.
- Limited penetration into unknown environments.
- Immediate-Action Responses.
Logistics:
The host agency must provide the following items.
- Classroom with AV hookup for laptops to present PowerPoint PPT.
- Area where non-lethal training ammunition can be utilized.
- NLTA weapon and ammunition platforms.
- Individual PPE to include eye protection, two long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and gloves.
- Whiteboard or chalkboard.
Cost:
The host agency is eligible for three free seats.
The tuition rate is $405 per student.
All tuition fees are due prior to the first day of instruction.
Cancelation prior to fifteen (15) days of the first day of instruction will result in 100% refund of tuition fee.
Cancelation between eight (8) and fourteen (14) days of the first day of instruction will result in 50% refund of tuition fee.
Cancelation up to seven (7) days prior to the first day of instruction will result in forfeiture of tuition.
Exceptions are considered for legal or medical alibies. Contact us if you require this option.
