Tactical Patrol Officer Response (TPOR)

Officers often face situations requiring impromptu entries to rescue persons in need or handle confrontations with armed hostiles. This intensive 3-day course provides the knowledge, and skills needed for these critical tasks, focusing on:

• Exigent circumstance entries
• Tactical Incident Command
• Ambush Mitigation
• Threat Orientation and Management

Students will engage in:

• Case law review
• Reality-Based training drills and scenarios, and
• Facilitated discussions

All scenarios and drills are based on real experiences from high-risk and exigent circumstance incidents, including dealing with media, community, agency, and family scrutiny after Officer Involved Shootings.
